Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sharma, MBBS, MD cardiology, FACC, FSCAI, FAPSIC is a Principal Consultant Cardiologist and Head of Interventional Cardiology department at Nepal Mediciti Hospital. He graduated MBBS in 1998 and MD Cardiology in 2005. He did his intervention cardiology fellowship training at National University heart Centre (NUHC), Singapore in 2013.He received fellowship of Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology (FAPSIC) in 2017, Fellowship of American College of cardiology (FACC) in 2018 and Fellowship of society of coronary angiography and interventions (FSCAI) in 2018. He is also Nepalese representative in the APSIC board. He has performed more than 2000 cases of percutaneous coronary intervention including complex total occlusion, bifurcation, left main, graft intervention and also peripheral angioplasty. He worked as a consultant cardiologist at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre for 18 years.He was also Associate Professor at National Academy of Medical Sciences. He has authored or co-authored numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals.
