Dr I have been taking sotret 10 in the morning and 20 in night as a permanent treatement for acne. Will it affect or cause problem in pregnancy in future.

Dermatology Venereology, Aesthetics, Laser and Hair Transplantation, 4 Years of practice

you cant take that medicine without supervision of a dermatologist. you need to do lipid profile,cbc and liver function test 6 weekly or atleast 3 monthly. Make sure you have two different method of contraception. It wont affect future pregnancy but if pregnant during treatment the baby is likely to have some birth defect. Also the dose need to be adjusted. please be in touch with a dermatologist
